tell us about your background as a stylist

Being brought up by a father who was a stylist and styles director for California and a mother who was a makeup artist naturally I was attracted to hair and makeup at a young age. Receiving my license at age 16 I became a Master ​Hair​ ​and​ ​Makeup​ Artist. Now with ​over​ ​30 years​ ​experience traveling​ ​the​ ​world creating​ ​cutting​ ​edge​ ​trends​ ​in​ ​the​ ​high​ ​culture​ ​fashion​ ​industry.​ ​​As​ ​a​ ​professional​ ​hair ​​and​ ​makeup artist​ ​staying up to date ​in ​the​ ​latest​ ​technologies​ ​as​ ​they​ ​are​ ​introduced by ​attending​ as well as instructing ​many demonstrations,​ ​classes,​ ​and​ ​workshops ​​throughout​ ​the​ ​US​.​​ ​Earning over ​50​ ​national​ ​and international​ ​​awards for hair and makeup artistry. Including ​CA State Championship, World International Makeup and Beauty Competition, Long Beach International Grand 2 Consecutive Years, Top 10 in the World International Hair Olympics.​ I have worked with many color companies teaching and traveled on an artistic team. I specialize in color, special occasion hair and makeup. Extensive experience in Print and Fashion. Also Instructing new students.

what drives you?

Creating a look that is unique to the person I am working on. Keeping up to date in techniques and creating my own bend or tweak to a look, color technique or style so my clients aren’t simply a cookie cutter look but they are actually one of a kind. I also love to inspire people and help them to attain goals.

what makes you smile?

When I make people happy, when they look in the mirror and say wow this is better then I thought I could ever look. I also smile when I talk to my children.

favorite place to eat?

Paris, anywhere in Paris.

worldly travels?

Been to London, Paris,Amsterdam, Brussels, La Paz, Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, Canada and about 30 of the 50 states anywhere I can go...

favorite saying or quote?

what do you like to do for playtime? 

Travel, Art Galleries, Concerts, Dance and Paddle board and chill with a friend.

what brought you to the house salon?

It was pretty and had good reviews.
